Where your diet breaks
If you're here, it's because you've already tried. Diets, meal plans, apps, good intentions. They work until real life kicks in: weekends, treats, vacations, stress, dinners out, busy weeks. Then everything breaks. And you start over.
The problem isn't the meal plan. It's not knowing what to do when your diet meets reality.
A diet that only works when everything is under control isn't a strong diet. It's a fragile diet.
A diet doesn't have to be perfect to work. It has to be sustainable, readable, correctable, compatible with how you actually live.
Self-assessment
The 7 factors that decide whether a diet holds over time
I call this the CraveScore. These are the factors that decide whether your diet collapses at the first opportunity or holds even when life gets complicated. Weight is a consequence. These are the causes.
Read each statement. How much does it reflect you, from 1 to 5? Don't write anything down, don't add anything up. Just keep the numbers in mind.
-
Carefree
"I feel free, without a rigid diet."
-
Handling occasions and vacations
"I feel anxious before, during, or after social occasions and vacations."
-
Confidence managing your diet
"I follow the plan, but I don't trust myself if I change something."
-
Flexibility with portions and foods
"I'd like to eat more freely, but I'm afraid of overdoing it."
-
Satisfaction with diet meals
"I eat the 'right' way, but I often end up unsatisfied and look for more."
-
Handling emotional hunger
"I often eat out of boredom, stress, or emotion, and I struggle to stop."
-
Enjoying treats without anxiety
"I feel guilty when I eat something I want, and I'm afraid of losing control."
What to do
What to do with these numbers
Don't add them up. Look at them. The factors where you scored 1 or 2 are the points where your diet breaks. The factors where you scored 4 or 5 are already your solid foundations.
